Field Services
Groundwater Sciences Corporation (GSC) provides a broad range of field services including groundwater sampling and remedial system operation and maintenance. GSC is currently responsible for groundwater sampling at dozens of sites, including municipal water supply wells, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action facilities, federal and state (NY) Superfund sites, Pennsylvania Act 2 sites, and Pennsylvania petroleum corrective action sites. Samples are collected using the best technical and cost-effective methods available. Sample results are managed in spreadsheets, off-the-shelf databases, customized databases and GIS systems depending on the site, and on the needs of the client or regulator.
GSC operates and maintains numerous groundwater, soil, and soil vapor remediation systems. Many of these systems were designed and installed by GSC or under GSC's direction. However, some of these remedial systems were designed and installed by others, and were ineffective or operationally sub-par. Our clients engaged GSC to troubleshoot, modify, operate and maintain the systems so that they operate effectively and efficiently.
