STAFF TECHNICIAN

We are seeking an industrious, diligent, and mechanically-inclined person to become part of our field team as a full-time Staff Technician. No direct experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills from experienced technicians/operators. The position requires assisting in the construction, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of equipment and systems focused on cleanup of sites contaminated with industrial solvents and petroleum products. You will interact with a team of multi-disciplined engineers, scientists, and project managers. An interest in and ability to learn electrical installation and troubleshooting for hard-wired and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is necessary. The position is based out of our Vestal, New York, office. Much of the field work would be at locations in the Binghamton, New York area with the possibility of infrequent overnight travel to other locations in the mid-Atlantic region. (posted 9/7/2022)

Primary Responsibilities:
Monitoring operational parameters (pressures, flows, amps) from systems
Completing field logs for operational records
Performing general warehouse and maintenance duties
Collecting groundwater samples
Supervising subcontractors
Calibrating instrumentation and maintaining calibration logs
Installing piping, wiring, instrumentation, and mechanical components
Responding to system alarms
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
Programming PLCs
Effectively communicating with project managers, engineers, and contractors

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

This position includes data collection and analysis associated with hydrogeologic investigations and remediation of sites contaminated with petroleum products, industrial solvents, and/or emerging contaminants. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in environmental science, geology, or hydrogeology. M.S. in environmental science, geology, or hydrogeology preferred. Candidate must have good organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team. (posted 9/7/2022)

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

This position requires at least fifteen (15) years of experience in environmental consulting with an emphasis on hydrogeologic site characterization, environmental geochemistry, and remediation. B.A. or B.S. degree in environmental engineering or a related scientific field is required. Master’s degree considered a plus. The applicant must have prior consulting and project management experience focused on characterization and remediation of petroleum and/or solvent contaminated sites, knowledge and understanding of federal and state environmental regulations, and excellent communication skills including proposal and report writing.(posted 9/1/2022)
